Begin by applying your serum or moisturizer of choice, and then start by moving in a downward motion on the sides of the neck, along the sternocleidomastoid muscle. “This opens up the lymph prior to the massage,” says Dr. Kim.
Starting from the center of your forehead with the large end of the roller, Dr. Kim says to move the roller from your brow-line to the edge of your scalp, and continue working the roller from the center of your face outward as you move to your eyes, nose, and chin. “Use the smaller roller as you move around your eyes, and make sure to use light pressure,” says Dr. Kim. “Gradually apply slightly more pressure as you approach the outer edges of your face, paying special attention under the cheekbones and jawline.”
