Priyanka Chopra says her mom Madhu is the "most important person in my little black book." Though she works with the best stylists, hair gurus, and makeup artists in the business, Priyanka prefers to call up her mom when she needs some beauty wisdom. "Since she was a little girl she always took care of her skin, and made me realize when I was a little girl the importance of it," she says. "Of course when you're young, you don't listen as much but as I grew older I realized all these little tricks and amazing secrets that she had were integral to my skin."

In the second episode of Little Black Book, Priyanka sits down with her mom to talk all things skincare. Both women agree that coconut oil is the MVP for cleaning skin and removing makeup, which Priyanka learned the hard way after getting into the pageant circuit. Leave the coconut oil on your skin for a few minutes, then gently rub it off with a warm hand towel to exfoliate, cleanse, and hydrate all in one step. "When you go to bed your pores say ahhhhh," says Madhu.

Some of the best skincare remedies are the ones that have been passed down from generation to generation. This is something that is especially true in Indian culture. You don't always need to buy a glitter mask or bubble mask to clear your skin—sometimes you just have to walk into your kitchen. The Chopra women love to make a mask called Ubtan, which is a traditional Indian face mask made with turmeric and basic food ingredients.
