The fall runway shows brought some incredible looks but it was not just the clothes we were peeing. Runway hairstyles ranged from wild and over-the-top, to downright gorgeous and sometimes breathtakingly inspirational. This season, the runway was hairy with middle parts, banana clips, wigs, and blunt bobs. In short, it seems like fall 2018, from head-to-toe, might be all about those naughty '90s.
Prabal Gurung
The Vibe: Sporty Spice
Get the Look: Hairstylist Anthony Turner created a "yoga bun" for the Prabal Gurung show. "Make a figure eight knot with your ponytail, then pin it up without thinking," he says. "The faster you do it, the better." Turner also added an accessory very reminiscent of our middle school days. Models wore the comb headband you probably still have buried in some drawer at your parents' house.

The Vibe: Low Rider
Get the Look: James Pecis styled a number of models' hair in low ponytails that he blew out straight. This signature look consists of a strong middle part in the front and a sleek weft in the back.

The Vibe: Choker Chic
Get the Look: “I was inspired by the idea of a choker but wanted to work it into the hair style for an edgy twist,” said hairstylist Odile Gilbert backstage. To create the look, Gilbert tied a thin piece of elastic around the neck with hair tucked under the makeshift choker.

The Vibe: Rachel Green '93
Get the Look: Banana clips are back, people! "I love the way that something that's been around and has a funny connotation can come back," explained Guido Palau backstage. Palau’s hair goal was to evoke an ‘80s power executive with a strong silhouette, and create a look that felt “super dynamic." A generous blast of hairspray gave the finished look hold and gloss.

The Vibe: Bungee Beauty
Get the Look: To match the sporty vibes in Chromat’s collection, hairstylist Kein Hoang wrapped literal bungee cord around the models' heads, taping down the ends at the temples.

The Vibe: Sleek and Chic
Get the Look: Hairstylist Eugene Souleiman opted for sharp lines to contrast the four words in Lee’s press notes: Lingerie, military, sensuality, and utility. The hair was parted to the side and smoothed over with a few purposeful flyways left out.

The Vibe: Middle Part Madness
Get the Look: Palau opted for a center-parted, soft-wave style. The look is easy to recreate with a quick blow-dry and curl. Guido warns to not "over-curl the ends" as you don't want to add too much volume."It’s how girls want to wear their hair,” says Palau. "The look has a slight hippie vibe, a little bit of Seventies, and is just great girl hair."

The Vibe: Wiggin' Out
Get the Look: Ok, so to really get this look you're going to have to invest in a wig. Souleiman straightened the ultraviolet wigs with a flat iron, giving the front bangs choppy ends while the rest of the hair got blunt tips.

The Vibe: Punk Rock
Get the Look: "The look is kind of...it's a girl who pinned up her own hair," explained Orlando Pita backstage. "It's up but it's messy up." Models also had a '80s headband sitting in the middle of the forehead, adding a bit of an edge to the look. "It's a little tougher, a little more warrior," says Pita.

The Vibe: Poof with a Punch
Get the Look: "It's about freeing up the hair," explained hairstylist Holli Smith, who created volume at the center of the hair by teasing hair a bit with a clip, then misting on hairspray for a bit of rise at the top of the head."You have volume all day!" says Wu.

The Vibe: Slick Bangs
Get the Look: Rockstar Willie Nelson was the inspiration for Selman's hair look. "When I think of Willie Nelson, of course I think of two braids; when I think of a roadie, I think of someone who's wearing a hat, moving equipment around and kind of sweaty and sticky," Pecis explained backstage. Braided hair backstage was quickly taken out before models took off down the runway. Pecis also nailed the wet bangs look with a hit of styling gel.

The Vibe: Natural Beauty
Get the Look: Hairstylist Bob Recine aimed to "empower everybody's individual beauty." Models wore natural hair minimally styled with hairspray and texturizer.

The Vibe: Blair Waldorf
Get The Look: A soft and easy low ponytail was created on the runways of Bora Aksu. The ponytail was then polished with velvet bows and ribbons to create a feminine Upper East-sider vibe.

The Vibe: First Lady
Get the Look: Jeremy Scott wigged out all fashion season. Moschino’s wigs were inspired by former first lady Jackie O's iconic style. The '60s-influenced wigs were also color-matched to each model’s hair for a flawless finish.

The Vibe: Chop and Dye
Get the Look: Hairstylist Guido Palau was the man behind these blunt cuts. Guido notes he was inspired by Vidal Sassoon’s ‘60s signature styles and also wanted to pay homage to the ‘80s club kids.

The Vibe: The Braid Up, Down, and Around
Get the Look: Hairstylist Eugene Souleiman crafted intricate braids that were suspended off one side of the model’s head. Not a hair could fall out thanks to the generous use of gel on the ponytail.

The Vibe: Side Swept Bangs
Get the Look: Each model's hair in the Fall 2018 Pucci runway show was swept to the side at the crown of the head, creating a swooshing bang. The rest of the hair was left in loose waves for a relaxed wet look.
