Remember back in the days at elementary school when the rumors spread that if you drank too much Sunny D you'd turn orange? Well it seems one girl has now actually lived a similar nightmare, except she turned pink, and it's all thanks to a LUSH product.

LUSH, who make all their bath and beauty products using ethically sourced, non-synthetic ingredients, were probably a bit alarmed to receive a tweet from a customer called Abi, who sent them a photograph of herself stained completely pink, after using what she thought was a soap.

"Hi! @lushcosmetics," she tweeted, "just a quick question, are your products supposed to stain the human skin fluorescent pink?" and attached THIS incredible photo.

LUSH, obviously utterly confused about how one of their customers had ended up looking like a pink-version of an Avatar, tweeted right back at her.

But after the internet saw the hilarious state of Abi, she thought she's better clarify what had actually happened. Speaking to Pretty 52, she said:

"The product used was called 'Razzle Dazzle' and it is not a bath bomb!" she said. Correct, Abi, it is in fact a bath oil which is intended to be diluted and added into a bath.

"I thought it was a soap and rubbed it all over my body and face (explains why my hair is dry)" she added. Which we guess isn't a hard mistake to make.

"3 days + several baths later I am no longer pink! I misused this product! I love LUSH and will still continue to shop there. It's just a shame that I wasn't told how to correctly use the product when purchasing!

"A very helpful friend of mine works at Lush and helped me remove all the pink stain with lemon juice, olive oil + a gritty face wash!"

Brilliant. A life lesson we're sure she'll never forget.
