Harper's Bazaar: Describe your perfect hair day.
Suki Waterhouse: Loose, soft waves. Shabby chic kind of style. I just use a little texture spray like Redken Pillow Proof Extender or Windblown and a little bit of Diamond Oil Glow Dry on my ends for shine and moisture.
HB: What's your go-to fix on a bad hair day?
SW: When it gets really, really terrible, I'll go and get a blowout. I have to say, going and getting a blowdry by a professional is like God's greatest gift. Some people like to drink or do other things, and some people blowdry. You feel like a whole new person.
HB: How often do you wash your hair?
SW: I wash it a few times a week. I use Redken Color Extend Magnetics. I'll also do a mask once a week and leave it on for about 30 minutes. When I don't wash it, I'll use a dry shampoo to give my hair a little texture.
HB: What's one of your styling secrets?
SW: Braiding my hair at night to stop it from tangling. No knots and a little kick in the morning.
HB: Biggest hair mistake?
SW: I always cut my hair and always really badly. Like when I had bangs, I would always trim them myself.
HB: What's your ideal beauty look for a big night out?
SW: I like when it looks like effortless, like you haven't tried too hard. I like looking like I'm encased in my hair. I definitely get that dry shampoo out and create a little enclosing with my hair. Girls are so lucky that we can hide behind our hair! I love to have it all in my face.
HB: Walk me through your morning skin routine. How long does it take you to get ready?
SW: Not too long. I typically just do an Elemis cleanser in the morning and I use iS Clinical Vitamin C Serum at night. Twice a week, I use an iS Clinical retinol cream to replenish my skin.
HB: Who is your beauty icon?
SW: Patti Smith. She's kind of the ultimate. Her beauty comes from her beautiful soul and her expression of herself. It transcends anything else.
