The 19 Best Nail Looks From NYFW Fall 2016

Inspired by '90s graphics, nail pro Madeline Poole created two looks for DKNY. This version features a half-circle at the tip of the nail, using Complete Salon Manicure shades in Dark Hue-moor and Commander in Chic.

"Sometimes the simplest detail is the most effective," says nail artist Keri Blair. She went minimal in her design for Delpozo, painting a thin white line that extended past the cuticle.

Manicurist Alicia Torello painted the models' nails in We're in the Black and outlined them in Raisin the Bar, both by OPI.

Nail artist Dawn Sterling gave Hood by Air models 'anti-manicures.' To achieve the nasty-luxe nail look, Sterling painted Chanel Black Satin, then wiped it off for a dirty, caked-in effect.

Referencing working girl films like The Apartment and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Miss Pop for Kiss created five nail art looks for Rachel Antonoff's fall collection. Our favorite of the bunch is this quirky red lip detail with a black French tip.

Nail genius Naomi Yasuda created a dripping nail for Opening Ceremony's futuristic collection using China Glaze colors in Icicle and Sorry I'm Latte.

Miss Pop gave Jeremy Scott's space cowgirls pearly peach nails. She applied OPI Natural Nail Base Coat, followed by two layers of lacquer in one of five shades: Shorts Story, I Just Can't Cope-Acabana, A Good Man-darin is Hard To Find, (Infinite Shine) To Infinity & Blue-yond, and (Infinite Shine) The Sun Never Sets. A coat of Kyoto Pearl added an iridescent finish.

The models wore Sally Henson gel polishes in Commander in Chic and Gilty Party.

Korean nail artist Eunkyung Park aka Unistella put a fresh spin on her signature glass nails with tiny metallic cuticle tabs.

Alicia Torello teamed up with Christian Louboutin with 1920s vixen Louise Brooks in mind. She used a Sweet Charity Base and a split color tip in Lady Page and Khol.

"The marble print is mysterious yet visual, subtle but complex, and tipping between the boundaries of femininity and masculinity," says Christian Siriano on his collaborative nail design with Jamberry.

Celebrity manicurist Tracylee created the nail look for Area using Red Carpet Manicure Lacquer in Make Me Blush and embellished it with Swarovski Crystals.

Celebrity nail tech Maria Salandra created the frosted, three-dimensional nail look for Rihanna's debut runway collection.

Manicurist Junko Watanabe gave the models a matte taupe nail, then contrasted it with a single strip of gold foil down the center.

Elle for Dermelect Cosmeceuticals combined two lacquers, Swagger and Eccentric, to create a nightshade color "with hints of eggplant, black, and graphite dipped in black velvet."

Morgan Taylor lead artist Danielle Candido gave the models at Creatures of the Wind a dual metallic manicure. She painted a chrome base in Could have Foiled Me, then created a crescent moon at the cuticle in Give me Gold and Bronzed and Beautiful.

Gina Edwards for Maxus Nails created "bold lines and negative spaces" for her nail design at Veda.

Danielle Candido for Morgan Taylor Lacquer gave the Tanya Taylor models a color gradient look using From Paris With Love, Orange You Glad, and Little Black Dress.
