Can black lipstick be anything but goth?

Dior says oui, and they're proving it with Kendall Jenner.

This morning in Paris, the model revealed a severely sexy pout by makeup maestro Peter Philips.

"I'm bringing out a new Rouge Dior lipstick line," he told us backstage at the Louvre palace," and one of the shades is called Poison. It's like a really extreme pigmented Rouge Dior lipstick color. It's like a deep purple tending to black, but how do we make it less gothic? We add a high gloss and a high shine so it becomes more glamorous."

Philips paired the lip with "really extreme fat lashes...a beautiful fan of lashes but a bit more punkish." Translation: spider lashes are now a high fashion staple, thanks to Diorshow's Maximizer 3D lash primer. Clean, matte skin and a groomed brow frame the wand-heavy look.

And back to that lip, which comes with straight-from-the-catwalk instructions: Philips used Dior's waterproof Pro Liner in black as a base. The new Poison lipstick goes over it, defined by a coordinating lip pencil. (Both will be out this Fall. Until then, experiment!) Blot once with tissue, reapply the lipstick, then dab a coat of clear gloss over the whole mouth just before you head out.

"You can kiss with this lip," Philips said, "but it leaves a mark."

That's great news for girls with a dark side. It means come fall, even your makeout sessions can be designer...
