You've seen henna contouring. You've seen clown contouring. You've even seen (gasp!) totally regular contouring that simply defines your cheeks and jawline. But you've never seen contouring quite like this before. Behold: body contouring.

This video, posted to Olipretty's Facebook, is an entrancing sequence of several different contouring clips showing just how effective applying a little (OK, a lot) of makeup can be.

First up is décolletage contouring, wherein the woman shades her clavicles and cleavage, then highlights them to make her bones and boobs look more prominent. Next up is neck contouring, the phenomenon I recently wrote about that seems like it would be pretty rough on the collars of your shirts. The rest of the video shows contouring methods on boobs, abs, and even one woman's full torso. The abs one is particularly detailed:

Impressive — yet so impractical.

Here's the thing about body contouring: It may look OK in these videos, but it's a lot of makeup. And when a lot of makeup is involved, a lot of stains are involved. Now, I love makeup as much as the next beauty editor, but I also don't think most people (myself included!) are capable of applying this quantity of it with the skill needed to make it look decent, rather than disastrous. Stick to slicking sunscreen on your bodies and leave the ab contouring to the pros, perhaps.
