If you think shimmery eye shadow isn't easy to wear, you haven't yet seen Lime Crime's Superfoils, a new range of wet or dry wear eye pigments from the made-for-Instagram beauty brand.

Here, four ELLE.com editors try Superfoil in Glass Slipper, an icy blue shade, to see how the attention-seeking eye look works in real life.

Blue lids and bare faces were all over the fall runways, and that's what I see when I look at this Lime Crime situation. A bold eye is surprisingly easy to execute because it doesn't really require any precision—my criterion for wearing something IRL. Unlike matte lips or liquid liner, foil shadow looks equally cool when it's a little off as it does when the color is applied symmetrically.

This eye shadow was surprisingly pretty and really easy to put on. It was just about getting the right amount of water on the brush before you applied it to the eyelid. We really went for it with the winged-out style, which makes sense when it comes to a color like this. Go big or go home, I say. At the end of the day, I felt like a black Sailor Moon wearing this eye shadow—strong and empowered by my frosty blue shadow.

A bold lip doesn't feel bold anymore, so I'm glad that statement eye makeup is rising in popularity. The application of the product was simpler than blending a typical eye look and so much more fun: You just dab until you reach your glitter threshold. This blue color is peak Pamela Anderson mixed with the spirit of Roller Girl from Boogie Nights (without the tragic storyline). What's not to love?

I'm clueless went it comes to makeup, mainly because I'm not so interested in investing time in subtle changes. More audacious adjustments, though? Count me in. And that's exactly why I loved this blue eye shadow—it's graphic and it commands presence, but it's also surprisingly sophisticated. More is more. Especially when "more" means a glittery blue eye!
