1. SWEPT AWAY

The side flip (of '90s ubiquity) is back, but this time it's more mussed. After securing swept-over lengths with bobby pins at Atsuro Tayama, hairstylist Mathieu Guignaudeau raked out fine baby hairs "to create a natural, rock 'n' roll feel," he says. At Hervé Léger, lead stylist Orlando Pita went for "loose yet restrained," weaving in a braid on one side of the head, then working in volumizer all over.

TIP: "Skip the hairspray and use a powder with strong hold, like Dust It by Schwarzkopf," to keep the finish haphazard, Guignaudeau says.

2. UPWORTHY

At Rodarte, hair guru Odile Gilbert whimsically piled real flowers and metallic floral barrettes all over models' heads. The beauty of the look at San Andrès, stylist Elia Piatto says, came from "the prismatic effect of light" striking the Swarovski crystal–encrusted bobby pins.

TIP: To tone down the look, clasp numerous barrettes to the back of the head so they're not visible straight on.

3. IN WITH A BANG

Curly, wavy bangs have a decidedly fresh appeal. "If there was a wave, it was about enhancing it," says master hair whisperer Sam McKnight, who, at Fendi, washed the hair of models who showed up with straightened lengths from previous shows to "bring back their natural texture."

TIP: To shape unruly waves, McKnight says to gently blow-dry wet bangs, which lengthens them slightly. Banish frizz with an antihumidity spray or cream.
