The athleisure trend in fashion and fitness has brought us many good things: namely high-tech leggings that make our lower-half appear modelesque, ultracomfy street-to-studio clothes that inspire our workouts, plus an excuse to wear sneakers everywhere we go. Now, it's brought us a bevvy of new skin care and makeup designed for speed, ease, and bestowing a fresh-from-cardio glow—even on rest days. So whether or not you like to wear a little swipe of mascara while crushing the elliptical, one thing's for sure: these are your new gym bag beauty essentials.

Yuni

Launched in Sephora this January, Yuni creates gentle products for skin, hair, and body, and specifically designs them for yogis. Perfect example: the Shower Sheets, portable refreshing wipes that are antibacterial, biodegradable, and compostable. While the line is not 100% natural, it counts on botanical ingredients for key benefits, like neem extract for antibacterial properties and green tea extract for protection against free radicals and breakouts.

Arrow

As one of the go-to beauty retailers, Birchbox sees it all, which is probably why they jumped on the athleisure beauty trend early, launching their in-house brand Arrow last year. The waterproof liner and brush-tipped cheek tint pen work like a charm, but the brow gel is a runaway favorite. It's lightly tinted so you don't need to add pencil or gel—and once you brush it through it does not budge. Not even when you start to work up a sweat. It's not going to add hair where you don't already have it, but lightly groomed eyebrows instantly whip your look into shape without needing a full face for the gym.

Tarte Cosmetics

You know the word "athleisure" has become sexy when Tarte puts it right on their box. The cult-favorite brand recently released a collection of four minis called Gym Bag Grabs Athleisure Essentials that includes a sweat-proof brown mascara and nude lip color that won't feel like too much for the treadmill.
