We've always been fascinated by Lana Del Rey's unique take on retro beauty. But in a video the singer just posted to her Instagram, she pulled back the curtain on at least one part of her everyday makeup routine: her eyebrows.

Using what looks to be either the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz or Maybelline New York Brow Precise Micro Pencil, Del Rey whistles along to John Lennonwhile as she fills in and brushes her eyebrows. She then uses the pencil to pull off one of the oldest beauty tricks in the book: making red spots or pimples look like freckles. She carefully dabs the soft brown pencil on three different small spots on her face, then blends each in with a tap of her finger. Finally, she uses the brow pencil to trace along her lower lashline, winging it out along the bottom to create a subtle, wide-eyed look. Using one brow pencil in three different ways?
