When you're a Shay Mitchell-caliber celebrity, taking care of your skin becomes almost a full-time job. It's hard to look glowy all the time between all the on-camera makeup, non-stop traveling, and red carpets. "Skincare, I am a skincare junkie," says Mitchell. "I have been playing with makeup since I was four years old. With makeup and all the different trends, you also have to really rake care of your skin since that is the foundation that sets the tone for everything else."

In this episode of Mitchell's Little Black Book, the actress takes us inside her standing facial appointment with Shani Darden, esthetician to the stars. "She is honestly a skin goddess," says Mitchell. "My skin went through a phase, it was really really bad. It didn't matter how much makeup you applied onto it, you could see it very obviously. Shani knew my concerns and honestly transformed my skin from what it was before."

Mitchell visits Darden regularly, but particularly before or after any major event or work trip. "Today we are going to get Shay ready for Paris fashion week," says Darden. "We're going to do a nice cleanse first. It's really important that Shay comes and gets facials every three weeks." After cleansing, she uses vibration therapy to tone, tighten, and lift. Then comes a peel. "It's my own peel, it has a few different acids in it. She is going to get nice and red," admits Darden. "It doesn't feel awesome. I am going to fan her so she doesn't yell at me."
