Not all shocking hair transformations involve bleach, bangs, or pixie cuts. Actor Jason Momoa—who played both Aquaman and Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones—just posted a video on Youtube showing himself shaving off his famous beard. The transformation is so intense we barely recognize his bare face at the end of the video.

"Goodbye DROGO, AQUAMAN, DECLAN, BABA! I'm shaving this beast off, it's time to make a change," he wrote in the caption of the video (above). "A change for the better...for my kids, for your kids, the world. Let's make a positive change for the health of our planet. Let's clean up our oceans and our land. Join me on this journey. Let's make a switch to INFINITELY RECYCLABLE aluminum. Water in cans, NOT plastic."

The video shows the actor walking through a desert landscape before stopping to take out an electric razor. He sips on water from an aluminum can–not a plastic bottle—and then pours any excess in a reusable water bottle. He says he's shaving his beard to bring awareness to the environmental issues of plastic water bottles, and urges fans to switch to recyclable aluminum instead. He noted that "2012 was the last time I shaved" in the video.

"There's only one thing that can really help our planet and save our planet as long as we recycle—and that's aluminum," he says in the video."Aquaman is trying to do the best he can—for my kids, for your kids, for the world. Clean up the oceans, clean up the land. Love you guys."
