The classic neutral and golden tones of the original palette will always have a special place in our hearts, but we definitely need to make room for the latest installation: the Urban Decay Naked Ultraviolet Palette.
Released on June 18, the latest successor of the Naked family is definitely a wishlist-worthy beauty buy.
This particular eyeshadow palette comes with 12 shades to play around with and has a similar look and feel as its predecessors, but with a delightful purple twist. Instead of sticking to Naked's usual nude moodboard, the Naked Ultraviolet palette uses vivid shades like amethyst, lilac, and more — it's the upgrade we never knew we needed!
But the fun doesn’t stop there: In honor of the latest launch, Urban Decay is also welcoming new additions to its Global Citizens collective, which was launched last year. Celebrity icons and beauty trailblazers Normani, G.E.M, and Camila Mendes are the latest to join the collective, just in time for the new Naked palette launch.
“I was originally interested in working with Urban Decay because they were a brand that celebrates individuality,” says Normani in a press release. “I am thrilled to work with them as they truly value my voice. As a UD Global Citizen, I’m being given an additional platform to start real conversations. I want to amplify black stories to help dismantle systemic racism. This includes everything from giving you resources and spotlighting black-owned businesses and leaders on UD social channels to sharing my perspective on beauty as a Contributing Editor to Urban Decay’s new digital magazine."
