- It's kind of hard to stay motivated. I am trying to allow myself to give myself some space and time. Because I was very busy the last year and a half, I was gone all the time. And I am gonna be gone for like another year after this quarantine is lifted. So I am giving myself the time and the space to have some free time and do what I like to do at home now, cause I know I'm not going to be doing much of it. (alarm goes off) ♪ Say lil' b ♪ ♪ You can't f with me ♪ ♪ If you wanted to ♪ (laughing) ♪ These expensive these is red bottoms ♪ ♪ These is bloody shoes ♪ ♪ Hit the store I can get them both ♪ ♪ I don't wanna choose ♪ ♪ And I'm quick cut a off ♪ ♪ So don't get com-- ♪ Hey, good morning. (laughing) Didn't see you there. What's up, I'm Kiana Ledé and we're waking up with Elle. Of course, we're waking up during a little bit of a weird time because we're quarantining. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, my routine is... It's gone out the window. (laughing) so I'm going to do some random things this morning. So first thing I do after I get up is make my bed cause um, um I'm a clean freak. If my space isn't organized my brain isn't organized. So I just try to do the best I can to keep everything tidy. This is Tank. He's an elephant. Elephants are my favorite animals. (calm relaxed music) (upbeat bright music) One of the most important parts of the day, that will probably happen at least three time a day is coffee. I'm addicted to coffee. I love coffee. This coffee maker is now my life. We're gonna make some coffee now. Boom. (water running) (package crinkling) (spoon tapping) We do miss you Barak, we do. (package shaking) (cupboard slamming) Soy milk (machine whirring) Wow, look at that. (machine percolating) This is my favorite teaspoon cause it has a heart on it. I stole it from an airplane. While it's finishing, we're gonna get our final ingredients. Brain Octane Oil. I don't know if this works but my manager Jeremy said that it's amazing. I feel like maybe it's working too hard for me cause I've been overthinking a lot during this quarantine. So thank you, Brain Octane. Maple syrup for sweetener and clove cause I read something that said that it's good to take clove during the quarantine. (mixing sound) (sipping) So, I love meditating for just like 5 to 10 minutes. Just to clear my mind and make sure that that I'm clearing up space for my brain from yesterday. 'Cause I'm not of those people that just wakes up and is like, "Okay, it's a new day." So, I kinda have to force myself to do it through mediation but it really helps. I had a really crazy night last night. I was up until like 4:30 AM, just banging this out and I'm so close. That's what she said. (laughs) But this puzzle is a puzzle of Joyce Wrice, she's one of my friends, she's another artist. And she did puzzles for her merch during the COVID-19 pandemic, so that people would have things to do at home. And her face is really beautiful, so it's nice to put together pieces of her face. And I'm just trying to get to that final picture. I was trying to stay up all night to do it, and I was falling asleep while I was doing it. So, I figured I would just leave the rest of it for this morning. So the first person I contact in the morning, every single morning is Jasmine because she is one of my best friends. And also one of my managers, I have so many reasons to talk to her every morning and I love it. - [Jasmine] Hi! - [Kiana] Good morning. - [Jasmine] (sings) I believe I can. I believe I will. - [Both] (singing) I believe I know my dreams are real. - [Jasmine] (inaudible) That is what I do believe. (continues) - [Kiana] All right, gotta go. - [Jasmine] I'm blessed. - [Kiana] Go blessed. - [Jasmine] See ya. Your tasks for today are nothing cause it's Saturday. - [Kiana] Yes. Oh, that makes me so horny. - [Jasmine] Okay? - [Kiana] (laughs) Good, bye. (laughs) Okay, so now we're gonna go into my morning beauty slash skincare routine. Normally, during this time I'm watching Sex And The City or The Office or Love Island or one of my other favorite shows. I take a long time to get ready and it's not even cause I do a lot of stuff. It's just, I just like having this space and time to myself. It's one of the only times that I get during the day to just really focus on me and zone out and be able to do whatever I want for like an hour. So no matter what the-- what is, what the day has in store. So, um I always like to take my time. My handy-dandy headband that you typically only wear in fifth grade, I wear it to wash my face. Wash your hands, don't get the rona. (water running) (sings) Happy birthday to you. (laughs) Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear me. (continues) Happy birthday to me. (relaxed upbeat music) (cries) Can you see the tears? So, we're gonna start with washing our face. I use Epionce lytic gel cleanser. It's really refreshing and it gives you a little bit of exfoliation every time you wash your face. But just really gentle, I have pretty sensitive skin so all of this stuff is expensive. (water running) I heard that if you wipe you're creating a lot of tension on your skin which makes you more prone to wrinkles especially around your eye area. Dabbing is just gentle around your skin. Next, I'm gonna use this YSL pure shots serum for the face. This one is just supposed to keep you bright, pretty anti-aging. Then, I'm gonna move on to my medicated products. Let's get real for a second while I rub this into my face. Women, a lot of times, choose to be on birth control and I'm on birth control. I chose the IUD. I have been through so many birth controls and none of them worked for me until I got the IUD. Once I got the IUD though after like six months of the trial period, I started breaking out on my face. And I noticed that I loved that I was getting a lighter period, I had all these really great symptoms but the only thing is I was getting all of these bumps on my face. In order to get the bumps on my face to go away, I went to a dermatologist. They told me that is was um, like a hormonal reaction from the IUD. It was basically like, "Do you wanna change your birth control or do you wanna just take this and we can do some preventative things so that the acne doesn't come back?" So, I chose that because that was the best birth control for me. So, I have to take this aczone gel. Everyday, I put it on my face. It is a topical cream and then, I take spironolactone. It's just like a little pill form. Um, I like to take it every day and it makes the bumps not appear. And then, I use Obaji medical hydrate luxe moisture rich cream. The one downfall of taking that medication that I take everyday for my face, makes my face really dry so I like to use something that's really moisturizing. And then, I always finish it off with some vitamin nectar antioxidant water. It has some vitamin.. Vitamins and that are really good for your skin. And, it's just extra moisturizing. (spray pump) (whispers) Some aqua cream for the lips. And, that's my morning skincare routine. So now that my skin is glowing, we're gonna make it glow some more with my beauty routine. Because we're in quarantine and we're social distancing, I still like to do my very minimal beauty routine just so I feel sane like as a person. It's mostly just about like skin, glowy skin for me and my eyebrows and that's it. And if I'm going on camera then maybe some lipstick too. I put on this moisturizer vegan milk moisturizer then I put on this moisturizer. Soin Visage Preparateur. It's french. Then, I put on this. It's really good for um bags. It's cooling so it wakes you up. It's just a cooling water stick. Then, I add this watermelon brighten serum. I love this 'cause it's just so easy to apply. (relaxed alternative music) And then, I take this hydrating oil just to get that extra glow. And then, my final step for my skin is this Futuredew Oil Serum by Glossier. It's just really beautiful. Exactly how it looks on the bottle, that's how it looks on your face. Typically, I would do a little bit more with myself um if I was going outside. But because we're quarantining, we're not really seeing a lot of people. Right now, I'm just gonna do my eyebrows. Do my baby hairs and just let my hair be free and do its thing. This is the Eyeko gel. I'm all about my brows and I never want anything to hurt them. This is my favorite thing to use because it's more of a serum than like a brow gel. It's really light so I'm not damaging my brows at all. Um, I'm a little sad because normally I have my brows laminated so they really poky and straight up. And, I haven't been able to do that for two months so I'm kind of going through withdraw but this keeps me sane. I use this to fill in all the extra hairs, little hairs so it doesn't just look like one line. Then I just add a tiny, tiny line underneath to define. One of my favorite features about myself is that my eyes are huge so I like to make them look even bigger. This is my favorite lip gloss to use while we're inside. It's called Persona and I love it because it's really natural to my lip color but it's also really moisturizing and it smells really good. (sniffs) It smells like vanilla play dough. Don't ask me why I like that, I just do. My.. Quarantine beauty routine on my face, it's finished. Now, I just hae to do my baby hairs. Black Panther. Come through. 24 hours of edge control. As soon as it starts wearing out, it turns into oil rather than like that white flaky. That's it for the bathroom. (low-beat techno music) We've only made three hole in this wall so far. So.. (dart hits board) There we go! (gasps) Ah wow, look at that. (gasps) Wow. Usually I'd get dressed but because I'm gonna be in my house all day, I think I'm just gonna stay in this sexy grandma outfit. Thanks for waking up with me on Elle.
