- Hudson hopes that INBLOOM will further promote sustainability and the demand for eco-friendly products in the beauty world.
It goes without saying that Kate Hudson is a Hollywood icon, but if you've been keeping up with her side hustles over the years, then you know that health and wellness are also passions of the industry vet. In 2013, the entrepreneur stepped into the fitness space when she co-founded the buzzy activewear line Fabletics, and now, Hudson is taking her wellness mission 360 degrees with the debut of INBLOOM, a line of 100 percent plant-based supplements.
In a Zoom interview in her cozy Aspen, Colorado home earlier this month, Hudson revealed that she's always wanted to create a line like INBLOOM. The inspiration behind the brand, which has been two years in the making, stemmed from Hudson's desire to create sustainably sourced products that support optimal health and nutrition from the inside out.
"I wanted my products to be accessible and at a great price point, but I also wanted to make sure we were using premium plant-based ingredients and eco-friendly packaging," said Hudson.
She's as holistic in practice as she is in her business: Hudson believes in taking a natural approach to her own self-care on a daily basis. "When anyone asks me about my beauty regime, my answer is always sleep, water, and healthy food. For me, that's where it all starts. Beauty really comes from how we treat our bodies and how we honor ourselves," Hudson said.
The brand's first launch includes five nuanced formulas that target specific needs like cognition, skin health, and sleep; they start from $49. To make consuming them an easy everyday habit, Hudson insisted they be developed in powder form. "I wanted to make vitamin taking simple and less daunting for people," she explained.
Hudson hopes that the launch of INBLOOM will have a ripple effect within the beauty world when it comes to sustainability. "I really care about what I'm putting out there, and my goal when building my business is to lead by example," she said.
