Actress Madelyn Cline has found herself in the spotlight. At just 22, Cline is making a name for herself as a talented and lovable star thanks to her role as Sarah Cameron in Netflix's smash hit Outer Banks and her magnetic Instagram presence (she has a staggering 5.8 million Instagram followers). In the latest episode of Masked and Answered, Cline reveals her secret love for skincare while sporting a glam peel-off mask that's her key to a fresh-faced glow.
Cline doesn't go subtle with her chosen face mask, the Shiseido WASO: Purifying Peel Off Mask ($32). "It's such a pretty color!" Cline exclaims in the video in response to the hot pink mask. "It’s so satisfying to have a peel off mask, but it wasn’t drying and it wasn’t harsh." Cline is a self-proclaimed skincare addict. "I love finding new masks to try, new moisturizers, literally anything. It is an addiction." Her morning routine is especially important for her to feel awake and rejuvenated. Cline uses the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence ($185) daily to help even red spots on her cheeks. "It's basically a superfood for your skin."
Cline follows up with her serum, cult-favorite SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic ($166). "This is my holy grain," Cline says. "It’s a wonderful protectant against harsh environmental factors. It’s a great thing to use before you get your day started." She follows up with the SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore moisturizer ($128). Cline also loves the EltaMD UV Clear Facial Sunscreen ($36) and the Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream ($22).
Though Cline today seems like a spokeswoman for glowing skin, in the past she struggled with acne. "I am prone to getting not just pimples but cystic pimples. The really, really painful ones." Cline credits using a Benzoyl Peroxide cleanser, similar to the CeraVe Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser ($12), with clearing up these flare-ups. A skincare-focused routine is what helps keep Cline glowing. "My mom told me that skincare is the best makeup and I wholeheartedly agree." We love a skincare maximalist!
