1Your Skin But Better
When was the last time you put on a full face of makeup? If your answer is somewhere over a month ago, you're not alone. "Natural" faces commanded the catwalks this season, with subtly perfected skin and relaxed eyeshadow (if any at all). "The makeup trend for spring 2021 is going to shift to effortless makeup," explains Agha.

Eudon Choi, Victoria Beckham, and Jason Wu all gave lessons in the power of a well-placed glow. And remember: Fake it 'til you make it, even if your skin doesn't naturally gleam with accumulated skin care power the moment you roll out of bed. A dewy balm or long-lasting serum will achieve the look just as well.

6Natural Glam
Brows have gone through many shapes in the last decade, from sculptural "Instagram brows" to the tweaked-up soap brows of late. Balance was found recently at Rodarte: A strong arch with a few natural-looking strays. It's right in line with the "no-makeup makeup, natural glam" trend Agha predicts will be big for spring 2021.

Although both shows kept obvious makeup on the minimum, cherubic blush made an appearance at Erdem and Simone Rocha, draped across the apples of models' cheeks. Fluttery lashes kept the looks clean and sweet. "Eyeliner and mascara will continue to be a staple in any makeup routine," says Agha.

11See The Rainbow
"Joyful colors will be the spring trend for sure!" says Agha, pointing to pinks, yellows, blues, and greens. "These colors are going to shift to spring and you will definitely see them worn on the eyes." We adore Ulla Johnson's take, which used dusty rose eyeshadow and flushed, natural lip colors.

The Bora Aksu show took the freshly kissed lip look to new heights, layering a bright fuchsia lip color beneath transparent masks. "Additionally, natural colored lip balms are trending now and will continue to trend in the spring," Agha notes. "It’s super easy to apply right before a video conference meeting or underneath a mask to keep lips hydrated with a little bit of color."

Yes, balms are nice. And yes, make sure you're still always wearing a mask when you should be. But, for 2021, the mood will be celebrating your lips when they can be seen. "For lips, we will see an emphasis on nude shades," notes Agha. "But there will also be a mixture of bright and bold shades."
17Lipstick Revival
Max Mara explored multiple opaque lip colors, but similar to the hot pink at Tom Ford, this over-the-top scarlet won our heart. It's been said before and we'll say it again—a classic red lipstick will never go out of style.
