Singer and songwriter Bishop Briggs knows a thing or two about beauty. Though her iconic shaved head has turned into a cute pixie cut over quarantine, she's still known to her fans and followers as someone who rocks unexpected and bold beauty looks. In the latest episode of Marie Claire's "Masked and Answered," you can watch the "River" singer walk through her favorite products and talk about how to always look beautiful, no matter the state of your skin.
Briggs chooses a classic face mask to mask and chill: the Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Mask. As it dries, she reminisces on past beauty mistakes, like some self-tanning mishaps. "I was orange for like five years," she says in the video. Her morning skincare routine includes the Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate & Glow Oil, as well as the Dior Lip Glow Oil. At night, Briggs opts for a thicker moisturizer, the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream. "It’s intense, which is why I think it’s a great night cream."
Briggs is also a fan of eye products to help de-puff her under eyes. She uses the Shiseido Benefiance Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Mask, the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, and the Origins No Puffery Cooling Roll-On for Puffy Eyes. For an added boost, Briggs puts the roll-on in the fridge for added cooling effects. But the most effective treatment for de-puffing eyes? "Sleep!"
As a singer, Briggs is used to seeing pictures of herself. However, every now and then, even the most gorgeous celebrities deals with a breakout or two. Whenever Briggs is feeling down about the state of her skin, she has one easy trick: "Avoiding harsh lighting is a beauty ritual that I highly recommend. If you’re feeling like, ‘Oh my gosh, my skin isn’t looking that great', adjust the lighting." We love a lady who knows all the tricks! Watch Briggs' video above and don't forget to subscribe to Marie Claire's YouTube channel to catch up on the latest episodes of Masked and Answered and share your favorite mask in the comments.
