An Analysis of Amal Clooney's Glorious Hair

Amal has a signature look and she sticks with it: blow-dried with some volume, bounciness, and exceptional shine. This is the base from which all her other styles start. Her hair stylist, Max Coles, said in an interview after the Clooney wedding that Amal wanted her hair to be "very chic, casual, elegant, nothing fancy, nothing over-the-top—very glamorous and bohemian" hair. This pretty much sums up her look on a daily basis, whether she's out to lunch with the hub or in court.

She bumps up the volume a bit at night, and tends to fling one side of her hair over one shoulder and one side in front. Want her volume? Coles says he uses Philip Kingsley's Maximizer Spray on her.

Amal has lived in London for a long time, so it's not surprising that she can wear a hat with aplomb. She seems to favor floppy, wide-brimmed hats–to protect her skin, perhaps?–but they complement her long locks beautifully.

Amal doesn't experiment with many styles, and she seems to avoid updos, so when she wore this half up/half down do during her wedding weekend in Venice, it made a huge impact. (And it must be said, reminds me of Kate Middleton, who's become an expert at this look.) I would love to see her experiment more with all that amazing length and thickness.
