With photoshopped selfies, overdrawn lips and facial contouring feeding the trend towards extreme transformations, makeup seems less about enhancing natural beauty and more about achieving absolute perfection. Case in point: This viral video of a South Korean woman "removing her face".
She starts off with a smoky cat eye, Cara Delevingne-worthy brows, a porcelain complexion and a plump pink pout. One cotton pad and a few swipes of makeup remover later, half her face is bare while the other side is left "on". The contrast is unbelievably stark: the woman's natural eyes appear much smaller, her eyebrows much lighter and sparser, her skin darker.
