The Kardashians are no strangers to endorsing products on Instagram. But usually those ads don't get ripped apart by the government. Politico reports that Kim Kardashian's ad for a morning-sickness drug is landing the company in trouble with the Food and Drug Administration.

In July, Kim posted a photo on Instagram promoting a "partnership" with the drug Diclegis, which helps combat morning sickness. Kris Jenner also shared the ad. "As you guys know, my morning sickness has been pretty bad," Kim wrote in a caption. "[My doctor] prescribed me Diclegis, I felt a lot better and most importantly, it's been studied and there was no increased risk to the baby." The post has since been taken down, but here's a screengrab, via Forbes

The FDA posted a warning to the drug company Duchesnay, noting that her post didn't talk about any risks associated with the medicine. Her post linked to a website that talked about safety, but the FDA says that's not enough. They called the ad "false and misleading" for leaving out key facts about which drugs to avoid while taking Diclegis. (You know how at the end of every drug commercial on TV, there's a laundry list of side effects? This is why.)

The penalty? The company is going to have to issue a clarification the same way it put out the ad: likely on Kim K.'s Instagram account. Maybe another Internet-breaking selfie will make it up to the feds.
