There's a scene in What Women Want in which Mel Gibson downs a bottle of red and experiments with pore strips, hot wax, and pantyhose in an attempt to understand the female experience. In my own version, I try all the man products in my boyfriend's bathroom: Gold Bond, menthol things, hybrid shampoo-body wash, and emerge looking fresher than Patrick Bateman after his multi-step grooming regimen. Every woman I know has adopted at least one beauty product that's marketed to men. Here, we honor the best because National Men's Grooming day is real.

Floris London Limes Eau de Toilette
Hellin Kay
"One of my major campaigns as a new wife was to stop my husband from using jumbo bottles of shampoo bought discounted from the drug store. He's now a Kiehl's addict. I like their after shave balm. It's really minty and makes your whole legs tingle—almost too much. I also love the men's fragrances from Floris London, particularly Limes Eau de Toilette."

Gillette Mach3 Turbo Razor
Hellin Kay
"I used my husband's Mach3 razor so much that he actually bought me my own. I not only love the close shave it delivers but also its non-frilly design. Just because I want Barbie-smooth legs doesn't mean I need a shaver that looks like her little pink Corvette."

Kiehl's All-in-One Energizing Wash for Body & Hair
Hellin Kay
"I'm slightly too precious about my hair to use Kiehl's Body Fuel the way it's marketed to lazy dudes—as both hair and body cleanser—but as a body wash, it's basically the best. I love the clean, non-perfumey scent, the no-nonsense packaging, even the way they call it 'fuel,' which makes me all like, ALL RIGHT, DAY, LET'S DO THIS when I use it in my morning shower."

Speed Stick Deodorant
Hellin Kay
"Speed Stick regular deodorant. I used to steal it from my fiancé, which annoyed him. So now I get my own. I hate the smell of most women's deodorant—I find them too treacly and floral."

Juniper Ridge Big Sur Trail Soap
Hellin Kay
"If I was a person who didn't have to work, I swear I would shower seven times a day. Every night before bed, the hot (I like it scaldingly so) water streams over me and erases anything unsavory or stressful that happened that day. Big Sur Trail Soap, with its campsite aesthetic and beautifully lingering rustic scent, is what I'm into right now. Typically, guys would lunge for the blend of sage and pine and cypress, but it's so energizing and soothing that I can't resist. And it's called Big Sur, which I love!"

Conair Men's 2-in-1 Personal Trimmer
Hellin Kay
"It's kind of embarrassing, but I recently invested in one of these bad boys. After a couple of trial runs with my dad's personal trimmer, I knew it was time to become an owner of one myself. I use it for my 'mustache' and nose. The reason being that waxing those areas was causing major irritation and breakouts for my skin. It just wasn't worth the five pimples I would get afterwards. So I now tame those fuzzy blond hairs with a men's Conair trimmer that I first discovered via my father."

Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Amethyst
Hellin Kay
"So this turbo-charged dental pro-tool isn't a men's grooming product per se, but I stole it from my boyfriend. Not only does it offer five different settings, but whitening is the best and it charges in a chic little water glass and fits into a slim pill-shaped travel case. Since upping my toothbrush game, I can't flash teeth without someone asking if I've had them bleached."
