The best complexion-perfecting tips from Joan Smalls, Devon Windsor, Liu Wen, and more top models.
Devon Windsor
"Never sleep with my makeup on because that's a huge no-no. I get eight hours of sleep at least at night, which I think helps your skin tremendously. I use the Clarisonic skin brush a couple times a week, which really clears out your pores. And the face wash I use is Shiseido face wash, [which is] also a makeup remover. I use Chanel Hydra Crème as a cream. I keep it hydrated and clean and that's my secret!"
Jourdan Dunn
"I love Sisley's products—they're just the best. I use their cleansing milk and moisturizer. Their masks are really, really good as well. My mum and I both love the new Black Rose one. But the Radiant Glow mask is my favorite—After I use it, I feel like my skin really does give off a nice glow. It's great for in the morning when I don't want to look tired—I just slap it on and I'm good. I use it about twice a week."
Ruby Aldridge
"It took me a while to figure out a regimen that I really liked, but a few months ago I went to Mario Badescu for a facial and it was amazing—I was breaking out, and they did me good. The place is super old-school and all the aestheticians have been there for years, but they do such a nice job! Now I only use Mario Badescu products—I love the acne cleanser, cucumber toner, and oil-free SPF 17 moisturizer. There's also this great spot cream."
Lakshmi Menon
"I do the basic stuff: I use a good cleanser and moisturizer, drink plenty of water, and exercise. I like Dr. Hauschka's Rose Day Cream because it's chemical free—I think using clean, organic ingredients on your skin really helps it. The Cleansing Milk and Cleansing Cream are also very good. I'm a huge Dr. Hauschka fan; I've been using their products for a couple years now."

"I actually just discovered Suki—it's an organic line that you can buy at Whole Foods and health stores. I use their soap and moisturizing oil—facial oil is my new thing! I massage it on my skin morning and night and it's amazing. I also use their eye cream—I'm a little obsessed with the brand right now! My agent sent me their samples to try and once I used them I couldn't stop."
Arizona Muse
"I got really lucky with my skin—I don't have to do a lot with it. But Caudalie has this Beauty Elixir—it's just water with some essential oils mixed in—and it's so nice. Whenever I see it on my shelf at home, I have to spray it!"
Josephine Skriver
"During fashion week I use the Carrot Butter Cleanser from Organic Pharmacy to remove my makeup. It's moisturizing and takes off everything, even waterproof mascara—it cleanses really deep. I use it morning and night. And then, of course, I drink a lot of water throughout the day. I like soda, but if I don't drink enough water my skin looks drier and grayer—it definitely glows more when I'm hydrated."
Liu Wen
"I'm a spokesperson for Estée Lauder so I'm really a step-by-step [person] because of our job doing so much makeup every day. So I try to keep it very clean and then deep clean. Cleanser, toner, serum, day cream, night cream, sometimes use serum and a face mask. And drink a lot of water."
Natasha Poly
"I try different stuff all the time—I'm always researching! But one thing I always use is sunscreen. It's important to protect your skin and keep it moisturized. For now, I'm using Lancôme Bienfait UV SPF 50—I enjoy the sun but I try to be careful. It's really hard because I like to have golden skin, but if I want some color, I'll just use bronzer. I'm also thinking about getting a spray tan. I've never gotten one before but I'm thinking I should do it!"
Melissa Tammerijn
"All my skin care products are from Avène—I love the brand. When my skin gets dry from having makeup taken on and off it, I just put their cream on at night and the next morning my skin is good again. I use their scrub, mask—everything. I'll also take my own makeup to shows and shoots because my skin is sensitive and I'm allergic to certain cosmetics. I love the concealers and foundations from Laura Mercier."
Nyasha Matonhodze
"I think that less is more; the less product you put on your face, the better. I always use Dove bar soap and Palmer's Cocoa Butter—I've been using them all my life. My face tends to break out due to all the makeup during fashion season, so I make sure to always wash it before I go to bed. And then I just apply the cocoa butter—it smells absolutely amazing and it's not too harsh on the skin. I get so many higher-end products during fashion week and I think about trying them—a lot of my friends love them—but I just stick with what I'm used to and what works for me."
Tati Cotliar
"I keep my pores clear by not wearing makeup. And when I have to wear it for a show or shoot, I take it off as soon as I can. I love using really good creams. La Roche-Posay Toleriane is the moisturizer my dermatologist gave me. I like it because it's not greasy and leaves your skin smooth. For my cleanser, I use Cetaphil, a pharmacy brand. It's gentle and great for everyday [use]."
Daphne Groeneveld
"Because of all the makeup I wear for work, I try to clean my face as often as possible. I use this really nice moisturizer by Chanel—it keeps my skin looking fresh. During fashion week, I just try to drink a lot of water and sleep as much as possible. But sometimes that's easier said than done! It's not that bad, but there are times when I'll only get three hours of sleep a night."
Jacquelyn Jablonski
"I moisturize every morning and night—I think that's the most important thing. It's something I learned when I was younger. I'm always trying different moisturizers but right now I'm using Aesop's. They gave me a bunch of face oils and moisturizers that are really great."
Karolina Kurkova
"For removing my mascara, I like using coconut oil. As a moisturizer, I like Dr. Alkaites' cream or Bulgarian rose oil—you know, things that are organic and natural for the skin, and won't just sit on it. Having great skin also has a lot to do with what you eat—if you eat junk, it's going to show. I live in New York and when I go out to eat I'll pick healthy places like Organic Avenue, Angelica Kitchen—there are so many spots."
Melodie Monrose
"Moisturizer is the most important thing—I moisturize every morning and every night. I have the Yves Saint Laurent one. It's not too greasy and doesn't leave my skin shiny. Makeup remover is also important, especially during fashion week. I like Bioderma's because it's really gentle and perfect for taking off makeup between shows."
Bruna Tenório
"I wear so much makeup for work, I just try to keep my face as clean as possible. Every morning I wash my face with Shiseido Purifying Cleansing Foam and very cold water to wake up, and then I apply a good moisturizer. I like Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrèbecause it's light—when I use moisturizers that are too heavy my skin looks oily."
